Advancing Madisonville through comprehensive community development
A diverse, vibrant and thriving Madisonville neighborhood: Soul of the City

We value Madisonville’s rich history and diversity and build upon the neighborhood’s deep sense of pride.

We work in partnership with Community Council, and Madisonville residents, businesses, churches, schools, and others to advance Madisonville through community development.

We work to ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization in order to be of service to the community.

We are honest, fair, and respectful in our public and private discussions and actions.

We build upon the unique character of the neighborhood in all of our projects and programs.

Driving Force
We lead the economic and community development work in the neighborhood.

We make responsible decisions with the interests of residents and the entire community foremost in our minds.

We will leverage our capabilities in economic development, neighborhood property development of affordable and market rate housing, community engagement, and convening and partnering focused on education, beautification, wellness and culture to create a dynamic sense of place and enhance Madisonville’s standing as the Soul of the City.

Place Matters

In 2013, Madisonville was selected to be a Place Matters neighborhood. Place Matters is a partnership between local funders and neighborhood nonprofits working for the transformation of communities in greater Cincinnati and northern Kentucky. MCURC works with these partners to develop strategies that will help us achieve the goals set forth in our Quality-of-Life Plan. To learn more about Place Matters, click here.
